This copy was probably published in the 1930's or 1940's . . . it has that look. 1926 is the original copyright date, so it's not a First Edition; though I soppose, but doubt, that it could be an American First. But the pages are not yellowing too quickly, the spine is nice and solid, it's not an ex-library copy, in it's just in great shape. The book has cloth boards and the illustration on the front board has been pasted on. It's simply a very nice older copy.

Dust jacket has a bottom 1.5" chunk missing, small tears with creasing along top and bottom edges of front, two small chunks missing on top front edge, two long tears on back with creases, and jacket shows wear from handling. School prize inscription in fountain pen ink on front free end paper is dated 1929, rest of interior is unmarked. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
