Good - wood engravings by Thomas Derrick, no dust wrapper, corners bumped and rounded, a few marks to the boards and spine, some colour plates and cards with music score pasted in to the blank pages of the prelims and rear pages, light even tanning throughout, contents clean, bright and tight.

Text block edges, endpapers, and front/rear blanks are foxed; interior generally clean and bright, with occasional minor foxing. Setting of text arranged, and pictures drawn and cut on wood, by Thomas Derrick. Text is from the Everyman's Library, edited by Ernest Rhys. Deluxed "art press" edition printed by Westminster Press (London), bound by The Temple Press (Letchworth). Wrapped in home-made dust jacket cut from what appears to be a galley proof of "City Sparrows: The Magazine of the Scottish Children's League of Pity," itself quite foxed/soiled but having done an admirable job of preserving the binding. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
