About this Item: Printed for T. Waller, Opposite Fetter-Lane, Fleet-Street; and A. Chapelle, in May-Fair., London, 1761. Soft cover. Condition: Good. Original light blue paper wraps in original condition.good condition for 1761. The wraps are age discolored. The deckled page edges are dusty. The interior is tight and clean. Most pages are uncut. A very early treatise on the diseases and lameness of horses by William Osmer. Little is known of Osmer other than that he was a veterinary surgeon in London; "he leaves the impression that he was self-taught and depended upon La Fosse. He never refers to any London practitioner, nor does he imitate the custom of his day in routinely criticising the writings of others". 300 pages. Seller Inventory # 6851
