It is in beautiful condition with many b/w wood cut drawings. The green cloth cover has the title and author encircled in dark green and red floral on the front and spine. Both front, back and spine are free of soiling and fading. There is a tiny tear in the cloth in the bottom right corner of the front. The pages are clean and free of all marks, tears and folds. There is some foxing on the front and back fl. There is a signature of a previous owner on the ffl. The binding is tight.
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Later state, with "Twasn't" corrected on pg. 14 and "said Phronsie" on pg.231. Moderate wear to the extremities. Soiled, with spots of foxing throughout the text. Previous owner's name is written on the front free endpaper. The front hinge appears to have some repair. The rear hinge is partially cracked. Size: 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Book.
