About this Item: Hearst Communications, Inc., New York, 2000. Soft cover. Condition: As New. 1st Edition. New, and completely pristine. See scans and description. New York: Hearst Communications, Inc., 2000. The April, 2000 issue of Harper's Bazaar. Quarto, illustrated perfect-bound wraps, and a thickish 252 pp. New, never perused but for description for this listing, retaining subscription offer card and in fact even retaining some of the scent of the Chanel No.5 sample panel, as it goes to sealed storage. Remarkable condition, and certainly better than most of those picked at the newsstand at the time (year 2000). Cover model is Brazilian actress-model Gisele Bündchen, at the time 19 years old. Wall-to-wall fashion, style, beauty, with stunningly artful photography in both ads and articles, and engaging text in articles; supermodels and gonna-be supermodels throughout. Every page deserves a scanned image. Other names covered through the rich 252 pages include Tom Ford; Lady (Kate) Spade; Chris Klein; Sarah Vowell; Bill Katz; Marisa Bowe; Lil' Kim; and a buncha others. Already scarce and collectible, soon enough to start becoming vintage-in-genre - and in pristine condition. See scans. Shipped in a sturdy, protective box - no bags here. Especially not for this one. About this Item: Visionaire, New York, 1998. Cards in a Box. Condition: As New. First Edition. Visionaire 24 - light - Tom Ford for Gucci - Limited edition of 3300 copies, this is number 692. Fine nearly as new conditiond, the batteries stil working. "Visionaire teamed up with fashion luminary Tom Ford and Gucci on an issue devoted to the theme LIGHT. This was our most ambitious project to date in terms of content and production. There was a conscious effort on the parts of both Visionaire and Ford to steer clear of fashion and to focus on what we considered to be fine art images. LIGHT introduced a new cast of contributors to the Visionaire fold: artists such as Sam Taylor-Wood, Andreas Gursky, and Christopher Bucklow, art director Peter Saville, animator Hayao Miyazaki, and architect Toyo Ito. Then there was the issue itself. That winter found us doing everything from sourcing the state-of-the-art, paper-thin filament that would literally light up the issue (a couple people in our office were nearly electrocuted in the process!), to negotiating the price for 33,000 batteries. The end result: twenty-four large-format transparencies self-contained in a super-sleek, fully-functional light box - the first battery - operated publication! Only 3,300 copies were made." All 24 images present. Including the stil sealed set of original bateries.Lightbox still working. This is number 692. Really fine as new copy. Size: 380 x 147 x 63 Mm. Seller Inventory # 003635

About this Item: Privately printed, Caldwell, 1890., 1890. Hardcover. Condition: Fair. First Edition. 1st issue. Printed paper over boards. 405pp. Illustrated with one drawing opposite p. 273. Lacking the frontispiece portrait of Freeman & the Medicine Lodge plate opposite p. 321. Old pencil signature of John Solf on the front paste down, & far later (11-14-66) ink signature of Ralph Solf on the same. One of the rarest & most desirable of all outlaw & cattle books & a cornerstone of any serious library on Indian Territory, Kansas, & early Oklahoma. This copy is water stained (see below) but is rebacked under original cloth spine with original boards and is in tight & stable reading condition. Printing of title on front board is worn, typical of most surviving copies, but main title is mostly readable. Hinges professionally redone. Paper worn from corners of boards, but corners were professionally stabilized. The water stain is as thus: ower right corner of boards & lower fore edge of text block; lower part of text stained, but mostly on lower side margins. This copy may not look good, and few 1st issue copies do, but it is a very flexible, sturdy, & easily usable/readable copy. A page edge tear or two have been archivally closed. This is the 1st issue, not to be confused with the 2nd issue of 1890 or the 1892 edition. Exceedingly rare. 6-guns 763 (where Adams mistakenly confuses the issue points), Herd 843 (Adams correct as far as he goes, but is incomplete), 150 #56 (Adams incomplete again), Howes F353, Graff 1411, Dobie p121, Dykes Kid 21, cf Rader 1472, Reese 39. Very good, tight copy of a rare book. Seller Inventory # 26480

About this Item: G. P. Putnam's Sons, New York, 1915. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. A very good copy of the first hard cover edition, lacking a dust-jacket, signed by Norman Angell on the front free endpaper, with signed gift inscription on following blank endsheet from Julia Ellsworth Ford to Tom Lamont (probably the American banker and diplomat Thomas Williams Lamont): "To Tom Lamont / With affectionate regards from / Julia Ellsworth Ford." Very faint brush-stain to upper-right corner of title page, else the text is wholly unmarked, pristine, and the binding still quite bright and fresh in appearance. Small faint damp-stain to bottom corner of pages, though the text-block is in no way affected. There is no mustiness to the volume. Gilt lettering on the spine is rather faded, while the lettering on front board is quite bright. From the library of a late local historian of the early world peace movement. A lovely copy.
