Popularly known as Foxe's Book of Martyrs, is a most important work of Protestant history and martyrdom by John Foxe, first published in England in 1563 by John Day. It includes an account of the sufferings of Protestants under the Catholic Church. First edition written mostly while he was in exile in Europe, then went through a number editions by Fox during his lifetime (1516-1587), removing suspect text and adding/ doubling text he was only able to access when he arrived back in England. At the time it was one of the most important and complicated books published in English and printed in England. So to sum up this is an fair incomplete undated possibly 1572 (to 1583) folio Elizabethan edition, dedicated 'To the Right Vertuous most excellent and noble princesse, Queen Elizabeth, etc. John Fox, within the book is about 3 different spellings of his name. Lacks title page and a couple of pages front, lacks 50 pages in middle.
