This 1994 Atlas has been a bedrock of knowledge for geoscientists working in Western Canada for decades, invaluable to researchers in both industry and academia. Over 180 authors were involved in preparing the Atlas. The Sedimentary basin that the Atlas covers runs 1,400,000 square kilometers in size including: Manitoba, Southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, North West Territories, Northeastern British Columbia, and the areas from the Rocky Mountains to the Canadian Shield.
