Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Original hardcover, first edition, lacking dustjacket (I don't believe a jacket was issued for this book). Book does not contain two scores that were separately laid in at time of publishing. Condition: book is surprisingly bright and square. Boards are bright and red, but have some fading and rubbing with slight soiling; fading along spine. There is age-toning to the pages; some modest reference wear. Has Volkweins store stamp on endpaper. At some point, previous owner made notes in pencil at beginning of book, appears to be through about first 20 pages. They were erased at some point, but are still slightly visible. Excellent period photographs, scores throughout book. Very collectible copy. About "good plus" to "very good minus" considering the age - but solidly bound and bright.
