About this Item: Laird and Lee, 1897. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Book has light wear to fore edge corners. Upper back fore edge corner cloth has come loose just a bit. Very light bumps to head and tail of spine. One very faint crease on spine. One of advertising pages in frontis matter is stuck to the front paste down at the bottom. Looks like it may have come from the printer like this. Name on first blank page. All red dyed edges. Each letter has a thumb tab. The Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm, were linguists (besides writing fairy tales) and began a multi-volume German dictionary similar to the OED in the mid 19th century. Illustrated.
