Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First edition, first printing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, beautifully signed in the year of publication by J.K. Rowling on the dedication page. According to Errington (J.K. Rowling, A Bibliography, p. 251) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was published on 8 July 2000 in an edition of 750.000 copies This near fine copy seen to be unread and carefully stored since signing. A minor flaw is that, due to a manufacturing defect, the bottom right corner is slightly wavy over a length of approximately 3 cm. Otherwise, the cover is in excellent condition, with sharp spine ends and sharp corner tips. The binding is firm, and the pages are without names or inscriptions, remaining free from the usual browning of the page edges. It comes in a near fine dust jacket with hardly any fading an no wear. Fully authenticated by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist. Includes a Letter of Authenticity (LoA) and a collector's card with interesting details. Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: As New. 1st Edition. The book presented here is a first edition, first printing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. This copy was signed in blue pen to the dedication page in July 2000 at Hatchards London, following the conclusion of J.K. Rowling's Hogwarts Express Tour for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The book is accompanied by an original letter from Hatchards which was given out with signed copies of the book. This particular copy is in near fine condition which appears unread with some bumping to the bottom of the spine. The top of the spine seems to be unaffected and in fantastic condition. The pages edges are beautifully white and crisp, but there are a couple of tiny age spots to the top edge. Aside from this the book is in near perfect condition, with a square and tight binding, sharp corners and no colour fading. Internally, there are no ownership inscriptions, stamps, tears or dog eared pages. The dust jacket is in fine condition with no creases and no colour fading at all. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston 'theharrypotterspecialist' the world's leading expert in authenticating Jo's signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity, collector card and outstanding provenance in the form of the original letter from Hatchards. Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: As New. 1st Edition. The book presented here is a first edition, first printing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire signed in blue pen on Saturday 8th July 2000 at Didcot Railway Centre on the same day that the book was published, meaning it was one of the very first copies to have been signed. For the launch of the book in July 2000, J.K. Rowling embarked on a four day Hogwarts Express Book Tour, setting off in a red steam train from Kings Cross Station, visiting Oxford (Didcot), Manchester, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Perth. Books signed on this first part of the tour are more sought after and come with Golden Tickets with the title Hogwarts Express Book Tour across the top. J.K. Rowling returned a few days later for signing events at Harrods (London), Hatchards (London), Borders Books (Brighton), Ottakers (Kent) and Books etc (London). Here golden tickets were again issued however these tickets do not have the title across the top meaning that books signed at these later events are not as collectable. The book and dust jacket presented here are in fine condition. The book is unread, the binding is tight, the boards are square with sharp corners and the pages are a bright white, clean and free from any toning, creases, marks, ownership inscriptions or writing of any kind. There is no colour fading at all to the book or dust jacket which is incredibly rare. The dust jacket is unclipped, has no creases or colour fading at all and is protected in mylar. Hard Cover. Condition: Fine (see description). Dust Jacket Condition: Fine (see description). Thomas Taylor; Cliff Wright; Giles Greenfield; Jason Cockcroft Cover Art (illustrator). First Edition. ------------( all are 1st printings of the First Raincoast Editions ) ----7 volumes comprising the original SEVEN Harry Potter books, hardcovers, all are about 5.25w x 8h inches, the complete Harry Potter series all in Raincoast editions, all are Near Fine/Fine examples with some possibly being unread, all in Near Fine/Fine dustjackets, - all in uniform format and size, all with decorated boards except for STONE and CHAMBER which were issued with plain boards (in the 1st printings ---all subsequent printings of STONE and CHAMBER have decorated boards), a nice set that looks quite new and would make a dandy gift for a PotHead, some volumes are showing a bit age toning to the paper, ---all books have a complete number line beginning with a "1" EXCEPT for STONE which has a number line beginning with a "2" which in this case indicates a 1st Canadian printing, THERE ARE NO RAINCOAST EDITIONS of STONE with a number line beginning with a "1" in this original format (duplicating the UK Bloomsbury design), furthermore when Raincoast issued STONE (and CHAMBER at the same time ) there were a limited number of copies of STONE issued with a signed BLOOMSBURY bookplate, this copy has that signed plate on the blank page facing the half title page, this first printing of STONE from RAINCOAST is extremely rare and even moreso with the ROWLING signed plate ----STONE contains two errors which were corrected in later printings of this book: Line 1, page 8 has "highchair" instead of "high chair"; and on page 53 in the list of "Other Equipment" needed for Hogwart's School, " 1 wand " is listed twice ---errors that were corrected in later printings, as well the upper portion of the spine and the rear panel show the young wizard ---a nice set with all dustjackets in hi-quality mylar protectors,---the RAINCOAST editions are identical in format to the UK editions and uses BRITISH spelling and grammar ---, ---I suspect that this will be the only 1st edition set I ever have to offer---, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo /// SIGNED (one book) ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch) ------SOLD as a SET only ------ An order from outside of the US or Canada cannot be accepted due to the impossibility of satisfying the necessary export requirements and documentation ---apologies for this----, Size: 5.25w x 8h Inches. A a near-fine, signed first edition of the fourth Harry Potter book by J.K. Rowling, recounting Harry's adventures during the Triwizard Tournament and featuring perhaps the most terrifying encounter with Lord Voldemort from all the series. This book was the first of the author's works to significantly increase in length, a trend carried on through the subsequent three Harry Potter titles, much to the delight of children and the horror of some bedtime-reading parents.
