Hardcover. Condition: As New. Dust Jacket Condition: As New. GrandPré, Mary (illustrator). 1st Edition. It is notoriously difficult for collectors to find signed copies of the American editions of books 4, 5 and 6. This particular book is a first printing and was signed at the event titled 'An evening with Harry, Carrie and Garp' which was also attended by authors Stephen King and John Irving in New York City in 2006. First and second printings of the book were signed in thick black marker and it was the first time Rowling had visited the United States and signed books since she made a brief visit in 2000. This was the only event at which J.K. Rowling signed copies of the US edition of Harry Potter and the Half blood Prince whereby a limited number of VIP 'family packages' were offered at $1000 each which included 4 premium orchestra seats and a set of 3 signed books- one from each of the authors. The book and dust jacket are in pristine condition with no fading at all, the pages are clean with no inscriptions or marks of any kind. The book is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners with no foxing to the text block at all. A beautiful example of a book and dust jacket in perfect condition. It comes housed in a green clamshell box made purposely for this book, with the title and author's name printed in gold leaf to the spine. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston 'theHarryPotterspecialist' the world's leading expert in authenticating Jo's signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card. Signed by Author(s).

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: As New. 1st Edition. This Signature is found in a first UK edition, first printing copy of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Rowling only conducted one signing event for her sixth book in the series which was help at Edinburgh Castle on the night of release for a select number of people. Because of this it has become extremely hard for collectors to acquire an authentically signed copy. Typically copies can only be found signed which came from the midnight release or were sent out by J.K. Rowling's office- the former being the most desirable. This particular book is the most desirable to find signed, being one of the 70 copies signed in blue ball point pen at the midnight release that were given out to the cub reporters invited from around the world to the event. Overall this is a near fine copy in unread condition with and extremely tight and square binding. The book has extremely white and crisp page edges and there is no colour fading at all to the book or dust jacket. The dust jacket is in beautiful pristine condition. The corners of the book itself have some minor creases and the base of the spine to the left corner has taken a bump. Without this bump, the book would without doubt be classed as in fine condition. Internally the book is pristine, clean without any ownership inscriptions, no marks or dog eared pages, a beautiful copy housed in a blue quarter leather clamshell box with gold gilt lettering to the spine. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston theharrypotterspecialist the world's leading expert in authenticating Jo's signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card. Signed by Author(s).

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Joanne (Kathleen) Rowling (1997 2007), a full set of all seven Harry Potter UK first edition books, published by Bloomsbury. All are signed by Rowling except the first volume which has a signed bookplate loosely laid in. The books are housed spectacularly in full leather solander boxes for perfect protection, and those in turn placed in a buckram box for easy transport or display on the shelf. No expense has been spared to create the perfect housing environment for the set whilst allowing a beautiful presentation. The set consists of: 1) Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (1997), UK hardback first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. Comes with a loose Bloomsbury bookplate signed by Rowling; all first edition points present the Wendy Cooling blurb on the front panel; the rear panel bears the typo with an 'o' missing in "Philosopher's" and "Hogwarts School of Wizardy and Witchcraft" instead of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. Page 53 lists 'wand' twice as called for. No dust jacket as issued. One of only 500 copies printed of which the majority (300) went into public libraries. This is NOT an ex-library copy. It has been professionally restored (spine tips and boards' corners) by a leading conservationist in the UK and now presents in near fine condition with one closed tear to the first text page as shown. 2) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (1998), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. Signed by Rowling on the title page. In near fine condition as shown 3) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (1999), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. This is the second state with J.K. Rowling credited correctly on the copyright page. Signed by Rowling on the title page and by the dust jacket illustrator Cliff Wright on the opposite page. In near fine condition. 4) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2000), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. This is the rarer Scottish variant printed by Omnia. Signed by Rowling on the title page. In very good condition with the page block edges showing ageing 5) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2003), UK first edition, first printing. Signed by the author on the title page. Scarce as a signed first edition since Rowling did not do any promotional tour for this title. In very good condition with some ageing/ yellowing to the page block as shown. 6) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. Signed and inscribed by the author "to Mel" on the title page. Exceptionally scarce to find signed as there were no promotional events for this title. 7) Harry Potter the Deathly Hallows (2007), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. Signed and inscribed by Rowling on the title page "to Lindsey". This copy was signed at the only midnight signing event in July 2007. One of only 1,700 copies signed at the event. A wonderful set of all UK hardback first editions, first prints of the seminal Harry Potter series. Presented beautifully with the solander boxes and treasure case. Ideal for a fan, or as in investment which has beaten inflation and the stock market by far over the past 25 years and counting. First and Fine. Signed by Author(s).

[Fantasy] ALL FIRST EDITIONS, FIRST PRINTINGS, IN DELUXE BINDINGS, with the three supplemental works. Volume I SIGNED by the artist Thomas Taylor, in black ink to front cover. Together ten volumes, octavo (26 x 17 x 36cm). Original uniform harlequin cloth (7 vols), with gilt decoration, illustrations to upper covers, and all edges gilt (some in shrinkwrap). Additional volumes (3 vols) in publisher's illustrated covers. Volumes II to VII in shrink-wrap, as-new; volume one a fine copy. The deluxe issue is a larger format, in decorative cloth binding. Harry Potter's award-winning wizarding adventures have had an unrivalled impact in popular culture today; indeed, some experts have referred to adults between the ages of roughly 20-30 years old as 'the Harry Potter generation', who are seen to hold markedly different values to their parents. Harry Potter is a series of many genres, including fantasy, bildungsroman, and the British school story (which includes elements of mystery, thriller, adventure, and romance). According to Rowling, the main theme of the books is death although prejudice, corruption, and madness can be seen as dominant motifs.

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. Very likely the only signed set in existence of the original first Canadian Raincoast editions, first printings of the last three parts of the Harry Potter series, combined with a scarce signed first edition, first printing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The latter was personally donated in 2000 by Raincoast Publishing's owner, Allan MacDougall, for a silent auction at the Toronto Book Lovers Ball; an annual black-tie fundraiser event sponsored by the Toronto Public Library Foundation. Books 5-7 from the series (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) were personally signed by J.K. Rowling for Geoffrey E. Taylor, the artistic director of the International Festival of Authors in Toronto. Taylor arranged J.K. Rowling s visits to Canada in both 2000 and 2007. Since Rowling did not visit Canada during the release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2003 and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in 2005, no other signed Canadian copies of these two titles are known to exist. Furthermore, all known copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows that J.K. Rowling signed during her visit to this festival in Toronto in 2007 are English Bloomsbury editions with a dust jacket from the Canadian publisher. However, this set includes an original signed Canadian Raincoast first edition, first printing, making it a unique signed copy. All four books are in near-pristine, unread condition with near-pristine unclipped dust jackets and come with a Letter of Authenticity (LOA) and a collector card containing interesting background information by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist. We welcome direct contact with our customers to discuss the purchase of this unique set. Signed by Author(s).

First editions of the deluxe edition of each book in Rowling's Harry Potter series. Octavo, 7 volumes, illustrated, original decorative cloth as issued. Each volume is signed by J.K. Rowling on the title page and was signed by Rowling in person for the previous owner. The Prisoner of Azkaban is inscribed. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is additionally signed on the title page by Thomas Taylor with an original drawing of Harry Potter. When Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was in the initial stages of publication in 1996, illustrator Thomas Taylor had just graduated from art school and was working at Heffers Childrenâs Bookshop in Cambridge. At Heffers, Taylor educated himself on the childrenâs book market and its major publishers and decided to submit a portfolio of his illustrations to the offices of Bloomsbury Publishing, including several drawings of dragons and wizards. Taylor heard back from Bloomsburyâs editor, Barry Cunningham (who had recently decided to take a chance on publishing Harry Potter and the Philosopherâs Stone after it had been rejected by twelve other publishers) almost immediately. Cunningham phoned him at Heffers and asked if he could create a design for the cover of a relatively unknown authorâs first book about a schoolboy wizard. He sent Taylor an incomplete manuscript of the book and, after two days, Taylor had a final product: a watercolor painting of a young Harry Potter with his lightning-bolt scar standing next to the Hogwarts Express on Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. In fine condition. No dust jackets were issued for these volumes. Scarce and desirable. Since the release of the first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, on 26 June 1997, the books have found immense popularity, critical acclaim and commercial success worldwide. The books have sold more than 500 million copies worldwide, making them the best-selling book series in history, and have been translated into seventy-three languages. The last four books consecutively set records as the fastest-selling books in history, with the final installment selling roughly eleven million copies in the United States within twenty-four hours of its release. The Harry Potter series has been recognized by a host of awards since the initial publication of Philosopher's Stone including four Whitaker Platinum Book Awards (all of which were awarded in 2001), three Nestlà Smarties Book Prizes (1997â"1999),[109] two Scottish Arts Council Book Awards (1999 and 2001), the inaugural Whitbread children's book of the year award (1999), the WHSmith book of the year (2006), among others. In 2000, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Novel, and in 2001, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire won said award. Honors include a commendation for the Carnegie Medal (1997), a short listing for the Guardian Children's Award (1998), and numerous listings on the notable books, editors' Choices, and best books lists of the American Library Association, The New York Times, Chicago Public Library, and Publishers Weekly. Also the basis for the eight fantasy films, beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) and culminating with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows â" Part 2 (2011). The series was mainly produced by David Heyman, and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson as the three leading characters: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger.
