(6), leg. coeva piena pergamena rigida, titolo oro su tassello al dorso. Vignette emblematiche incise sui due titoli, varie grandi iniziali silografiche istoriate. La seconda parte contiene ''in libri tre la guerra fatta dalla Lega dei Prencipi Cristiani contra Selino Ottomano, per occasione del Regno di Cipro. Edizione dedicata a ''Nicolò Erizzo Savio grande e Cavalier di S.Marco''. Paolo Paruta (Venezia 1540-1598) fu storiografo veneziano e occupò le più alte cariche pubbliche della repubblica veneta. In-4 (21 cm) 1055 (1) Al frontespizio marca xilografica: Salamandra coronata fra le fiamme, in cornice figurata e motto "Virtuti sic cedit invidia". Testatine e finalini. Bella pergamena floscia d'epoca. Alone di gora nelle prime pagine e un forellino da tarlo tra le pagine 665-686 e745-764. Doglioni Giovanni Nicolò (1548-1629). Letterato, nato a Venezia nel 1548 e morto ivi nel 1629. Esercitò il notariato a Venezia e ricoprì la carica di cancelliere dell'officio delle miniere. Zenaro Damiano. Libraio ed editore attivo a Venezia, figlio di Clemente. Aveva bottega a S. Bartolomeo al segno della Salamandra (insegna registrata nel 1563). Per lui lavorarono come commessi Giuseppe Zenaro, figlio di Antonio Maria, Francesco Ravera, figlio di Battista, e Giovanni Battista Ratteri, figlio di Baldassarre. Dal 1584 fece parte della Società dell'Aquila che si rinnova. Dopo il 1587 formò una società con l'erede di Girolamo Scoto, gli eredi di Giovanni Varisco e gli eredi di Melchiorre Sessa. Fu anche in società con Girolamo Franzini. Quasi tutti i tipografi attivi a Venezia in quel periodo lavorarono per lui. Morto nel 1604 o nel 1605. 16mo secolo. Seller Inventory # ANT1067

La Historia di Vicenza. Divisa in due: MARZARI GIACOMO.

About this Item: appresso Giorgio Greco,, in Vicenza, 1604. In-4° antico (191x143mm), pp. (36), 214, (10) di elenco delle casate e famiglie di Vicenza allora estinte e di quelle "che hanno civiltà hora viventi in Vicenza" e di colophon con registro e impresa tipografica (tolta dall'originale del 1591). Legatura settecentesca p. pergamena rigida con unghie. Titolo in oro su tassello in pelle rossa al dorso. Tagli a spruzzo rossi. Frontespizio in rosso e nero con impresa tipografica xilografica. Dedica a stampa a Pasquale Cicogna, "Serenissimo Principe di Venetia". Testatine, finaletti e iniziali figurate incise in xilografia. Con cinque vedute xilografiche di Vicenza su tre fogli ripiegati fuori testo (la prima, su un unico foglio, è una veduta generale della città, le restanti, impresse sia al recto che al verso di due distinti fogli, raffigurano dei resti del teatro antico, un "pozo antico fatto dalla Natura", gli acquedotti che portano l'acqua in città, il Ponte di San Michele). Svariate iscrizioni latine n.t. Qualche macchiolina e gora di non grave entità. Qualche sego di tarlo limitato alle sguardie. Esemplare genuino ed in ottimo stato di conservazione. Seconda edizione della prima storia complessiva della città di Vicenza, identica alla prima del 1591 e con il colophon dell'originale (recante la data 1590; è riprodotta anche la marca dell'editore cinquecentesco, Giorgio Angelieri), sicchè il Lozzi poté scrivere "in questa pretesa ristampa non si fece altro che cambiare il frontespizio all'E.O. del 1591". Le xilografie figurano invece per la prima volta in questa edizione, di buona rarità. Il Marzari, figlio di Giovanni Pietro, discendente di nobile famiglia vicentina, fu anche autore di opere giuridiche e di un Dialogo à scholari bombardieri (Vicenza, 1596).
