Condition: molto buono. in-4, 2 parti in un vol., pp.(4), 520, (17), 202, ff. (6), leg. coeva piena pergamena rigida, titolo oro su tassello al dorso. Vignette emblematiche incise sui due titoli, varie grandi iniziali silografiche istoriate. La seconda parte contiene ''in libri tre la guerra fatta dalla Lega dei Prencipi Cristiani contra Selino Ottomano, per occasione del Regno di Cipro. Edizione dedicata a ''Nicolò Erizzo Savio grande e Cavalier di S.Marco''. Paolo Paruta (Venezia 1540-1598) fu storiografo veneziano e occupò le più alte cariche pubbliche della repubblica veneta. La prima ediz. venne pubblicata nel l605. Ottimo esemplare. Cicogna n.571:''Non ha pari il Paruta nelle storie antiche italiane.''.

In-4 (21 cm) 1055 (1) Al frontespizio marca xilografica: Salamandra coronata fra le fiamme, in cornice figurata e motto "Virtuti sic cedit invidia". Testatine e finalini. Bella pergamena floscia d'epoca. Alone di gora nelle prime pagine e un forellino da tarlo tra le pagine 665-686 e745-764. Doglioni Giovanni Nicolò (1548-1629). Letterato, nato a Venezia nel 1548 e morto ivi nel 1629. Esercitò il notariato a Venezia e ricoprì la carica di cancelliere dell'officio delle miniere. Zenaro Damiano. Libraio ed editore attivo a Venezia, figlio di Clemente. Aveva bottega a S. Bartolomeo al segno della Salamandra (insegna registrata nel 1563). Per lui lavorarono come commessi Giuseppe Zenaro, figlio di Antonio Maria, Francesco Ravera, figlio di Battista, e Giovanni Battista Ratteri, figlio di Baldassarre. Dal 1584 fece parte della Società dell'Aquila che si rinnova. Dopo il 1587 formò una società con l'erede di Girolamo Scoto, gli eredi di Giovanni Varisco e gli eredi di Melchiorre Sessa. Fu anche in società con Girolamo Franzini. Quasi tutti i tipografi attivi a Venezia in quel periodo lavorarono per lui. Morto nel 1604 o nel 1605. 16mo secolo.

Interessanti la riproduzione delle iscrizioni presenti nei monumenti e l'elenco dettagliato delle famiglie antiche e moderne. L'autore fu cronista vicentino. Questa prima edizione è editorialmente priva di immagini. Nel titolo è evidenziato un nuovamente posta in luce che in realtà fa riferimento ad un'opera precedente sulla città, scritta da Giambattista Pagliarino. Rara opera. .
