About this Item: J H de Bussy, Pretoria, 1948. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. 25 x 31cm. Grey boards undamaged bit with small white fleck to upper board and small whiteish stain at top edge. The top 7-8cm of the spine bleached white with sl. spilling over to boards. DJ has 22cm diagonal gash across the front, partially repaired with sellotape, and a 7-8cm split at the top outer edge as well as being chipped at the bottom and with a small chunk missing from the top edge at the back. DJ corners frayed. 72pp. contents clean and bright. There is a cancelled rubber stamp to the title page suggesting this copy might have belonged to the erstwhile Prime Minister of South Africa BJ Vorster but there are no inscriptions or signatures to this effect. Plain grey endpapers. The author has signed the book (as 'samesteller') to the ffep as has the secretary of the "Raad vir die Argief en Museum Ned. Hervormde Kerk van Afrika". This latter was to commemorate the official opening of the SP Engelbrecht museum on the 20th of October 1961. Signed by Author(s). Seller Inventory # 001889
