First Edition Collectible. in red boards & brownish spine strip with white titling to spine, 4to, 64pp. Illustrated profusely with early nazi and Hitler Photographs. (light shelfwear to corners, short note to title page). Association copy with an exceptional two-page letter from Werner H. Von Rosensteil (signed in blue ink). Werner Rosensteil was with Hitler's army for 8 weeks in 1938 before defecting, with the help of the US government, to america. He later played a role in the Nurmberg trials and wrote a book about his war experiences, entitled: Hitler's Soldier in the U.S. Army. the later part of his life was spent speaking publicly about his life and hitler. In the letter Mr Rosensteil harks back 61 years to the time the Photographs in the book were taken, her recounts meeting Hoffman at the trials, and then proceeds to explain where many of the pictures were taken and the context as he experienced it.
