Light edgewear, clean and tight interior. 344p., black and white photos. Milam's 1901 adventures as he travels from Lufkin, Texas, to Duncan, Indian Terriroty, and on to Fort Sill to register for homestead land - as told in a series of letters written to his wife back in Texas. His wanderings in the area around Fort Sill, Lawton, and Comanche County. Writings of his 1904 trip by rail to Corpus Christi, Texas, and 1905 trip from Jacksonville, Florida, to Luflin and on to Oregon for the Lewis and Clark Exposition in Portland. Travels in the northwest and his return home by way of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Antonio. Milam - a gregarious and curious man who shares his adventures in an entertaining manner.
