Also covers "the desolation of Belgium, the sacking of Louvain, the shelling of defenseless cities, the wanton destruction of cathedrals & works of art, the horrors of bomb dropping." & much more! in 320 pages, with a brilliant color frontispiece & black-and-white photographic illustrations throughout text. Hardcover with green-tan boards & an oval front paste-down illustration of the ship at sea; NO DJ, as issued by publisher. Condition is solidly Good: generally clean, binding secure, but a bit shaken, Rubbing to extremities, heavy at corners & both ends of spine (fraying, some places down to underlying boards). Paste-down is nearly perfect! Lettering on front in red is colorful & bright, but spine lettering is worn away in many places. Random light soil.
