Ephemera. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. First Edition; First Printing. Card has almost no defects aside from those acquired at the printer's shop (see scan). Corners are square; light age toning that shows up more on scan than in reality. Has been preserved in an album. ; Howard Finster tinted Photograph; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 1 pages; Around 1980, Howard Finster produced a number of different post cards to promote himself and his works. The original mock-ups of these card are quite valuable. This is not one of those. This is one of the printed cards that he produced and then sold or gave away in his studio at Paradise Garden. This particular card has, in purple ink, a photograph of Finster as a young man in the bottom right corner of the card, a dark color frames the entire card and the white area is for messages. The back of the card is completely white (for address, except that the printer has let some of the purple color from Finster's picture bleed onto the back. Nice and unusual sample of Finster's post card production.
