SCARCE FIRST EDITION large pamphlet, stiff pictorial wraps, color photographs, illustrated sketches, unpaginated (28 total pages including covers). Very Good+ with just a whisper of wear at extremities. Feautres 23 of L. A. Huffman's most famous color photographs of the old west, including Rain-in-the-Face, young Cheyenne mother and child, a Sioux warrior's grave, Cheyenne Two Moon at the Custer Battlefield, Two Moon's lodge at Lame Deer, Montana, Calamity Jane, and many others. One photo per page and each includes an insightful explanatory note and some are accompanied a sketch as well. A biography of Huffman (1854-1931) is included on the inside covers of the pamphlet. Published by Coffrin's Old West Gallery in Miles City, Montana, this scarce item is in beautiful collectible condition.
