Hungary never a proper automobile manufacturing industry. From the 1950s Csepel, Danuvia and Pannonia motorcycles, Csepel and Raba trucks, Ikarus buses were produced in bigger quantities and exported to many countries - mostly to Soviet Union, East Germany and a lot of third world countries. However Hungarian ingenuity could not to be controlled and there was a lot of attempts to make passenger cars, bubble cars and even sports cars after 1945. The first part of this book chronicles the efforts of all those clever individuals and organisations who built at least one running prototype between 1945-1995. People like Janos Pentelenyi, Jozsef Zappel, Jozsef Csatho, Matyas Borloy and their cars, like the Pente, the Festival, the Alba Regia, the Sigma, the Puli and many others are featured. The second part of this book deals with the history of Hungarian auto sport between 1945-1963. It documents the era of self-built racing specials with plenty of previously unseen photographs. You can see all the action, all the players and all the cars. Size: 104 Pages. Bookseller Inventory # 016662
