More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Binding is slightly loose but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has light tanning with soft crushing to ends. Unclipped dust jacket with moderate rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall with visible loss and creasing to panels.

Boards stained white, edges rubbed and a little discoloured. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper. Previous bookseller's stamp on front paste down. Both pastedowns and free endpapers are evenly discoloured and lightly foxed, so too are the page edges. Some light staining toward the hinge on the occasional page, otherwise this book is in good condition. Dust wrapper is rubbed, particularly at the spine and edges. Some chips along the edges. Soft creasing and general wear and tear, along with even discolouration. Price clipped. Else this dust wrapper is in good condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously but they usually present better than they sound.

Condition: Good. pp 96 Ronald Searle's collection of anarchic St Trinian's cartoons with an introduction from D B Wyndham Lewis. Inscribed by the author 'for Patricia Wood with best wishes from Ronald Searle Christmas 1948' on the first free endpaper. Wood's bookplate is affixed opposite. The second impression from November 1948, bound in cream with some soiling and red damp staining to the boards from the dustjacket. The jacket is complete, fair to good, nicked and chipped to lower panel, torn along the folds with half of the spine missing, not price clipped.
