Il Palazzo Ducale di Urbino è uno dei maggiori monumenti del Rinascimento italiano e insieme un labirinto architettonico e urbano in cui è necessario perdersi per svelare il mistero che si dipana tra la sequenza di spazi privati e pubblici che lo compongono. Questa architettura, che è insieme un organismo vivente e un frammento nel paesaggio marchigiano, viene riletta per sezioni utili a ricomporre una unità che si è frantumata nel tempo e che oggi viene riproposta attraverso i suoi elementi più evidenti e rappresentativi. Una importante lezione per la prima volta trascritta e pubblicata dello storico dell'architettura Manfredo Tafuri s'intreccia con la rilettura fotografica del field work durato cinque anni da parte di cinque gruppi di studenti dell'Isia di Urbino di Armin Linke. L'abaco degli elementi che costituiscono il palazzo - messi in luce dall'attività laboratoriale degli studenti di Radim Pesko e di Jonathan Pierini - , come le volte, le finestre, i camini, le porte e gli apparati decorativi, dialoga con la rilettura delle macchine da guerra di Francesco di Giorgio Martini realizzate da Guido Scarabottolo, mentre l'analisi della tipografia rinascimentale che innerva il palazzo, realizzata dai partecipanti al progetto fotografico di Paola Binante e Stefano Veschi, diventa la chiave di lettura di un libro infinito, rappresentato da questo monumento da riscoprire continuamente.
