About this Item: G. Schirmer, New York, NY, 1926. Hardcover. Very Good: shows light wear to the front corner tips; just a touch of rubbing to the cloth over boards panels; former owner's name printed in ink at the top of the front free endpaper; the backstrip has been rather heavily sunned and the top edge of the panels has blanched a bit as well (the gilt titles at the backstrip are still bold and bright, but the blanching to the backstrip has lessened their visibility somewhat. The front panel and its titles are unaffected). The binding leans very slightly, but remains secure; the text shows very sparse pencil marks in the margins, and the pages have tanned somewhat, due to aging. A flawed, but handsome copy: structurally sound and tightly bound: clean, sturdy, presentable, despite the sunning. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. Large Format 4to. 239 pages. Libretto by S. Cammarano. Translated by Natalia MacFarren. Includes an Essay on the History of the Opera by E. Irenaeus Stevenson. Green cloth over boards with gilt titles at the front panel and backstrip. Decorated Endpapers. Hardback: Lacks DJ. Seller Inventory # 45380
