Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Catalog/artist's book published in conjunction with a seminal Sol LeWitt exhibition held at the John Weber Gallery in New York City in 1974. For the exhibition, LeWitt, one of the leading minimalist and conceptual artists of the period, produced a series of 122 frame structures, titled Variations of Incomplete Open Cubes, that were arranged on a grid matrix. According to LeWitt, "the idea part is simple, the visual perception is complex." Square 8vo, 8" x 8", unpaginated (264 pages), printed wrappers, fully illustrated with each open cubic variation represented by a line illustration and a b/w photograph by Akira Hagihara. Slight lean to spine. Front hinges slightly weakened. Light bumping and soiling to front wrapper. Toning and rubbing to rear wrapper. Content clean and bright. SCARCE.
