Item Description: Gustavum Eichler (Gustave Eichler), Berolini (Berlin), 1833. Hardcover. Book Condition: Poor. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Pars Prior (Volume I only). IN LATIN. Condition of book is commensurate with its age (1833) and the distance it has traveled to reach our white-gloved hands. Pages are yellowed and foxed, but thick and beautifully textured. Bottom edge uncut. Binding is/was green morocco, but only the back cover exists and it is separated from the text block. Front cover and spine are missing; the front free end paper is now the "cover." The former owner's name is in cursive ink on the first free end paper: Lewis Purbrick. Given the source of this book, Purbrick likely refers to the Rev. Lewis Purbrick, a chaplain at Christ Church, Oxford (England) from 1829-1835 and former Vicar of Chippenham from 1837-1860 buried in St. Nicholas Chapel, Tytherton Lucas. An inexpensive but charming find. We will gladly provide photos for serious inquiries. International shipping and shipping for oversize/overweight books may require extra postage. We will consult with the buyer on additional fees before items are shipped. Bookseller Inventory # 000080
