Green cloth, lettered and illus. in gilt and black. 497 pp., illus. Mild external wear, with corners rubbed and showing modest exposure, spine extremities a bit rubbed. Mild dampstaining along fore-edges extends 1-2" onto each cover. Text block edges typically somewhat toned by age. Interior dampstaining is light but extends through text block, evident along bottom and fore-edge margins of light leaves, with minor waviness to paper, essentially a minor cosmetic issue with no adhesion and not affecting legibility of any text. Inscribed by author to Hon. J. C. Walsh (Sec. & Editor "Ireland') on upper front flyleaf, full signature (as "Capt. Francis O'Neill"), dated 15 June 1916. Exceptionally scarce presentation copy.
