This volume is illustrated with fifty-five color offset reproductions of Islamic painting at rear and numerous b/w in-text reproductions, some of them foldouts. It contains the early Islamic period, 10th to 14th century, the Mongol period of the 13th to 14th century, the Timurid period in Persia, 14th and 15th century, the Safavid period in Persia, 16th to 18th century, the Ottoman period in Turkey, 16th to 17th century, and the Mughal period in India, 16th to 18th century, with extensive bibliography. Binding with light wear along edges but cut and half inch chip at top edge near foredge. Binding with some sunning along edges of covers and spine. Binding in overall good-, interior in very good condition.
