Mit der seltenen Original-Beilage und dem seltenen Original-Schutzumschlag! Jakob Tuggener (1904-1988) ist ein Schweizer Fotograf. Er machte eine Lehre als Maschinenzeichner in Zürich. Anfang der 1930er Jahre studierte er in Berlin Zeichnen und Film. Nach seiner Rückkehr in die Schweiz arbeitete er als Industriefotograf. 1934 kaufte sich Tuggener eine Leica und fotografierte erstmals beim "Grand Bal russe" in Zürich. 1943 schaffte Tuggener mit seinem Buch "Fabrik", einem fotografischen Essay über die Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Maschine, den Durchbruch zur Avantgarde der Schweizer Fotografie. Fabrik gibt die vergangene Welt der Arbeit in einfühlsamen Photos im Kupfertiefdruckverfahren wieder. Eines der wichtigsten Bücher zum Thema Industrie in der Photographie. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurden seine Bilder im New Yorker Museum of Modern Art gezeigt und in den Illustrierten Leica-Fotografie veröffentlicht. 1951 gründete Tuggener mit Werner Bischof, Walter Läubli, Gotthard Schuh und Paul Senn das Kollegium der Schweizerischen Fotografen.
