Signed by the author on the verso of the title page and dated in her hand 15 june 1974. A remarkable work of local history. The first part of the book is a history of this small Bremer County (Iowa) town, the majority of the book lists of Janesville residents, including (but no limited to), First Land Transactions, Janesville GAR records, American Legion History, Order of Eastern Star history, Presbyterian Church membership lists, Methodist Church membership lists, Marriage Records, Oakland Cemetery Records, High School Graduates, plat maps with ownership records, and dozens of family genealogies, dozens (perhaps hundreds) of photographs of Janesville people, buildings and events. A remarkable book.
