Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Small tear spine fixed with clear tape. Unfortunately, the major portion of the price for this Life magazine must go toward shipping. USPS rules dictate that magazines with ads (even if 50 years old) cannot be sent media rate (which is much less inexpensive). Another problem is that the old Life magazines are too large for flat rate priority mail. Therefore, they must be shipped at the retail parcel rate, and since most weigh over a pound with wrapping (cardboard wrapping to protect) the rate can make up to as much as $15 depending on USPS local zone. If a dealer offers you a cheaper shipping rate, he or she is most likely using media rate mail. Media rate packages are subject to inspection. If the USPS finds improper use of media mail, it will charge the buyer the difference between media and parcel rate ($10-13).
