Item Description: Johnny Donnels Photography, New Orleans, 1999. Hard Cover. Book Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. The late, long-time New Orleans photographer and gallery owner, Johnny Donnels, created this book in 1999 in part to celebrate 50 years as an artist, photographer and gallery owner. Donnels selected the photos, some of which are included in international collections, wrote the 50 "stories" about New Orleans' French Quarter and its people, as well as a story or comment on each of the photographs themselves. 12 x 12 inches, unpaginated, heavy, glossy paper in black, glossy paper-covered boards with the front cover showing a Donnels' photo of an artist's easel and a rocking chair. There is a foreword by Donnels' daughter, followed by the 50 page-sized black & white photos, then the stories and the comments on the photos. The book is inscribed, signed and dated by Donnels on the half title page. The dustjacket replicates the covers except for an "Autographed Copy sticker. The bottom edge of both boards show a pair of small dent marks and there is a touch of wear at the spine ends and corners. The top and bottom margins of the text show a very light "rippling" effect that does not extend to the photos or printed matter. O/w boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square. The dustjacket shows a small, quarter-inch tear on the lower corner of the rear panel, a bit of wear at the corners and edges. These minor flaws do not significantly detract from this collectable book, scarce when signed. Signed and Inscribed. Bookseller Inventory # 005289
