The quotation is from Page 204 and reads, "Madam! I have something to say to you: I have a very poor opinion of Christianity . Following the quotation is the rest of the author's inscription and her signature, which read, "[P]age 204, Margaret Deland, June 22nd 1932." Original publisher's red cloth binding in a brown paper dust jacket. Gilt lettering on front cover and book spine. Dust jacket has a few small chips at the corners, slight wear to extremities, and darkening to the front and back; darkening is more pronounced on front panel in the form of streaks.
