Duhig, a biographical summary by Vida Lahey and an explanation of technique by the artist himself. Sixteen tipped-in colour plates from Macqueen's watercolours of Australian landscapes. Kenneth Robertson Macqueen watercolours all have a lyrical and decorative quality and are generally inspired by the countryside of Queensland's Darling Downs and the area around Moreton Bay.One of 145 copies signed by the artist and with a tipped-in ''collector's plate'' also signed, specially bound in full jade morocco with gilt pictorial device on front, top edge gilt.Gift inscription on front free endpaper.
