Item Description: Chicago: Continental Publishing Co. Date obscured probably, 1902. Apparently 1st edition. Full title reads - "Kings of the Queensberry Realm. Being an account of every Heavy-Weight Championship contest held in America under the Queensberry Rules, a sketch of every contestant who has taken part therein, and an account of the invasion of Australian boxers. Together with a defense of boxing, a comparison of old methods of boxing and training with those in vogue today, and the complete ring records of Heavyweight pugilists." Numerous photographs and cuttings have been very neatly pasted into the book in natural spaces, not obscuring anything else, except the obverse of title page where it appears that a cutting was pasted on then removed, obscuring the date. IMO these extra photos and cuttings add to the book's character. MISSING 7 OF 16 PAGES OF PHOTOGRAPHS. Annoyingly, apart from the missing plates the book is in remarkably good condition, near VG. Minor general wear, otherwise G/no dj. Bookseller Inventory # 11853
