Oblong 12mo. 1 leaf. 20 Real Photo Postcards, contained in original mailing packet (chipping to couple sides w/ loss), still images in excellent condition. Early printing of this set of photo postcards sized with divided backs, and with neatly written captions in the negative at lower fore-edges, and list of images included. The images include Mt. Hood from Portland, Eliot Glacier, Sahale Falls, Climbing Party on Mt. Hood, Yocum Falls, and more. Sawyer Photo Service is perhaps best remembered for inventing and developing the View-Master products beginning in 1939 at the New York World's Fair, with Fisher-Price now owning the rights and continuing to produce them. About this Item: Condition: Very Good. This collection consists of: (1) Attractive album with 95 of the 96 allocated spaces filled with a collection of photographs showing various scenes in France circa 1920's, perhaps a little earlier. The photographs depict life in Paris, the south of France, possibly including Marseille, and areas in the Cote d'Azur as well as smaller rural towns and villages. There are photos of coastal areas, countryside, rivers with boats and docks and transport as well as boating scenes and capture the life style in France at the period extremely well. Each photograph measures approx. 3.5 x 2 inches or 8 x 5.5 mms; (2) Another partial album with 39 images from 1930's mainly of South West France with captioned images including scenes from Pau, Lourdes, Bigorre, St. Jean de Luz, Biarritz, Royan etc. Many of the photos are tinted & measure circa 4.5 x 3.5. inches. About this Item: Maine, 1900. Condition: Near Fine. Oblong small quarto measuring 7" x 10". String-tied gray paper wrappers with "photographs" printed in red on the front wrapper. Contains 20 sepia-toned or black and white gelatin silver photographs measuring between 5" x 6.5" to 2.5" x 4" with some captions. Very good photo album with some creasing and tiny tears with very good photographs with some creasing. A modest but interesting album of early Kodak photographs of the Brackett family in Maine around 1900. The photographs show the family posing on the porch of their home in fashionable clothes, as well as the grounds of the house. There are also photos of them with their horses and one of a woman in a horse drawn carriage. The landscape of Maine is seen in the pictures as well with photos of the rocky coast, one which is captioned "West Pitch Falls of the Androscoggin at Auburn [Maine]." Additionally the Androscoggin River is seen here as well as winding dirt roads and herds of cattle.A nice collection of early Maine Kodak photography. Seller Inventory # 405973

(The 96th photo on the final page is missing.) No names and only a couple of pencil titles of general places. A holiday album covering Egypt, as far as Aswan, (34 photos), Marseilles, (4) Meran, (14), Trieste, (8) Nerona, (4) Bozen, (4) Innsbruck, (18) and others. Good social scenes in Egypt, Luxor, Aswan, Philae, Akhmim, hotel interior with the family party, invalid carriages outside the baths in Meran, the bandstand with band, good view in harbour and street scenes in Trieste, as well as Nerona, one lovely photo of an Austrian steam locomotive. About this Item: California, 1900. Condition: Near Fine. Quarto. String-tied black cloth covered boards with "Kodak" stamped in gilt on the front board, measuring 9" x 9". A collection of 65 sepia toned Kodak photographs housed in a Kodak film specific album with some captions. All photos are 3.5" x 3.5". Lacking some of the ribbon that binds the boards to the pages, slight bowing, and edgewear else very good with some photographs slightly faded from age. The album begins in Parkfield, Monterey County, California at an oil well with images of workers posing for a group photo and some in a horse drawn wagon. Also included are pictures of the San Miguel Mission, including women posing on the grounds in what appears to be late Victorian dress, and an unnamed parade within which marched the Chinese Order of Masons. Pictured throughout the album are various California institutions such as the campuses of University of California, California State University, and the Deaf, Dumb, and Blind Institute at Berkeley, now the California School for the Blind. There are various images around Golden Gate park including the conservatory, museum building, and the Lake on Strawberry Hill. Seller Inventory # 393025
