About this Item: Small 8vo (168 x 106 mm). [48], 652, [1] S. Hellbrauner Kalbslederband d. Ex-libris Franz Pollack-Parnau (1903-1981). Palau 110185; Münch 93; Philipp, Liste der ermittelten Fürstenspiegel (1995), p. 52. An immensily popular guide for the proper conduct of rulers in its second French translation by Nicolas de Herberay. Guevara's Reloj de Principes (Valladolid, 1529), together, as usual, with his didactic Libro del emperador Marco Aurelio (Sevilla, 1527), conjures the ideal of a right and peaceful society. It reflects some aspects of the social Reformism that was still alive in the first decades of Charles V's reign. - Single wormhole throughout the browned text. Seller Inventory # B328786

About this Item: ChezJean Richer, 1588. Couverture rigide. [AUTOMATIC ENGLISH TRANSLATION FOLLOWS] New edition. Brand printer in title page. Binding right calf glossy brown time. Back with nerves decorated with 6 small florets. Central laurel wreath on the boards. Crashed tail cap with traces of glue. 3 corners bare and dull. A book emerged. No cover pages against the boards. and before the text. (31f.) 395ff. Seller Inventory # 50441
