Giltstamped to the edges of the boards; giltstamped title to spine. 1.5" crack in upper joint. Top corner of the upper board exposed. Edges and joints rubbed. Foxed endpapers. Penned number to the front pdep and erasure ghosts to ffep; stamped date to the rear pdep. Tightly bound, clean, lightly toned interior, no other marks. Illustrated with 6 hand-coloured double fashion plates showing contemporary clothes and hats followed by detailed descriptions of the garments. Also black and white portraits, 1 missing. Covers sheow some wear and corners are bumped. Browning and foxing to the text and some pages are torn or creased at the edges; 2 previous repairs insetting pages over missing text.
