Item Description: Echo Publishing, Summerdale, PA, 1990. Softcover. Book Condition: Fine. First Edition. The Larkin Company was a very successful mail order company that sold soap and become known for its buying plans allowing consumers to purchase individually or cooperatively and earn valuable premiums based on their purchases. An early Vice President was Elbert Hubbard, founder of the Roycrofters. Larkin built its famous Larkin Administration Building (1904-1906) in Buffalo, New York, by Frank Lloyd Wright; it was razed in 1950. Wright also designed homes for a number of Larkin's executives in Buffalo, most notably, the Darwin R. Martin House (1903-1905). Blue paper covers, slight scuffing from shelf wear. Survey and reproduction of the catalogs listing China wares that the Larkin Company offered as premiums to its soap buyers. Previous owner's name in ink on first free endpaper.
