Contains 45 out of 50 b&w photographic plates (missing plates 3,22,44,45,46). Contains three plates from 3e série (plates 5,11,14). Unbound as published (folder format). Cover has two black cloth straps for tying it closed. Cover yellowing, with few humidity stains and other mild stains. Cover is lightly scratched, corners and edges bumped and slightly damaged. Spine of black cloth, edges and hinges lightly frayed. Top and bottom spine edges coming loose. Pages lightly yellowing. Plate #11 has several tiny stains on bottom edge (off photograph). Plate #14 has aging marks (streak-shaped) across its face (over photographs). Plate #36 has streak-shaped age-stain and lightly creased bottom corner (off photographs). Plate #47 has small age-stain near edge of photograph. Some pages have slightly bumped corners. [SUMMARY]: The plates are otherwise well-preserved and in good condition. Folder cover also in good condition despite the above-mentioned wear. The book is in : French.

Collection of forty-eight plates with more than a hundred-fifty images, rendered in sepia tone heliotype with white highlights, depicting chandeliers, floor lamps, glass plates, lanterns, office lighting, flares, ceiling lights, wall lamps, etc. Most of the plates contain three to five images with some plates featuring only two images, one plate with a full page rendering of an ambassador office designed by Pierre Chareau. The designers featured in this collection are Edgar Brandt, Sue & Mare, Morand & Cie, René Herbst, Albert Laprade, René Prou, Raymond Subes, Kotarbinski, Paul Follot, Pierre Chareau, Rob. Mallet, René Herbst, Jean Dunand, Edouard Schenk, Simonet Frères, Sabino, Ruhlmann, Genet & Michon, Paul Follot, Cheuret, René Lalique, among others. Contains a two page introduction by Guillaume Janneau and a list of lamps and designs at front. Text in French. Portfolio with light wear along edges and tears and chips at head and tail of spine. Cloth at spine partially cracked. Stamp of previous owner on title page, this somewhat rubbed. Another previous owner's name inked to half-title. Plates with light age-toning along edges, images in very good+ condition.

Portfolio, in burgundy quarter cloth over decorated front board, with ribbon tie, housing 48 stunning photographic plates showing Art Deco style lamps, chandeliers, sconces and lighting fixtures. Binding split at rear hinge and splitting at front hinge as well; soiling and scuffing to boards: not great externally. Plates show an occasional bumped corner or minor smudge, but overall quite clean, and complete. A celebration of designs presented at the Exposition Internationale Des Arts Decoratifs Modernes Paris 1925.
