About this Item: Country Life, London, 1909. Condition: Very Good. Country Life (illustrator). An original very early issue of Country Life Magazine dated June 26th 1909 featuring a main article on Cooke's House at West Burton in Sussex, 5 page write up with black and white illustrations of the house, interior and garden. Country Life Magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues have become highly collectable and a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and renovators and anyone interested in the history of the building. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was over 100 years ago. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Miss Rosemund Grosvenor. About this Item: Without place or date. On a 4to leaf extracted from a diary, at the page for the entries for 25 and 26 February.; with printed sheet music on reverse. In good condition, on lightly-aged paper. The signature 'Leonard Borwick' is written above that of 'Nina Balfour'. Balfour does not appear to have performed music in public, but she is listed as 'Reader' in a concert of 1919. Seller Inventory # 17076
