Pages 467-476 is "Une Nuit Etrange" by Wilkie Collins. Another 126 pages of volume two is a printing of George Sand's Le Marquis De Villemer, with the same imprint but an 1861 publishing date. The header of both works is "Semaine Litteraire du Courrier des Etats-Unis". "The Weekly Literary Courier of the United States. Previous owner's ownership notes in French on the front free fly discuss his acquision of these books. A Curious compilation of French literature certainly pirated by this enterprising Franco-American publisher, who would do very well with Hugo's Les Miserables.
