Item Description: SMP, 1992. Softcover / Paperback. Book Condition: Fine. First edition. Paperback. The teenage fatal attraction case that shocked America. Her father called her his little princess. The adored only child of affluent parent who placed the world at her feet, Amy Fisher had a glowing future. But she yearned for excitement, for the dark thrill of danger. While her classmates happily planned dates for the prom, 17yr old Amy Fisher appalled them with tales of her wild sexual escapades, of her steamy, obsessive alleged affair with a married man - of a wife she wanted out of the picture. But it wasn't until Amy was arrested for attempting to slay unsuspecting Mary Jo Buttafuoco in cold blood in front of her own home, that police and reporters uncovered stories that included a sinister hidden world of secret call girl rings, attempts to hire hitmen with payment in sex - and a beeper still nestled in her purse on which clients could page her with personal codes. The author covered the case, and in this book reveals a story even more shocking than the sensational headlines that captured the attention of the nation, and turned an all-American town inside out. Illus. with 8pp. of photos. 281pp. p/back. From the library of true crime writer, Wilfred Gregg, with his personal b/plate. F. with no creasing to covers. Bookseller Inventory # 17824

Item Description: Onyx, 1994. Softcover / Paperback. Book Condition: Fine. First edition. Paperback. When US Secret Service agents arrested Mike DeBardeleben, they thought they had captured the most cunning counterfeiter ever to elude them for years. Then they saw the collection of nude photos, pornography, and memorabilia of sex slayings in his home "office" - and they began to realise they had inadvertently come upon one of the most horrifying tales of depravity and death they had ever encountered. Now for the first time the full story of this sadistic murderer is told. It is the story of the trail of sexual savagery that made the most hardened lawmen shudder. It is the story of the trials in which a serial killer on a par with Ted Bundy conducted his own diabolically brilliant defence. It is the story of what made Mike Debardeleben the human crime wave he was.of his rivetingly revealing secret diary.of the wives and children who were perhaps his most tragic victims.and of the punishment ultimately meted out to him. Illus. with 8pp. of photos. 350pp. p/back. From the library of true crime writer, Wilfred Gregg, with his personal b/plate. V. lightly browned pp. o/w Nr. F. with no creasing to covers. Item Description: Dell Publishing Co., Inc, New York, 1959. Soft cover. Book Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. 256 pp., with letter signed by John D. MacDonald. A three-paragraph letter from John D. MacDonald (1916-1986) to Miriam Allen DeFord (1888-1975), signed by MacDonald, accompanied by the first edition of the book discussed in the letter. The letter was sent by MacDonald to deFord to thank her for her note to him about this volume (a collection of mystery stories by 14 female mystery writers), and he states "I am glad I had one of yours to include" - deFord's story, "To Be Found and Read" is included in the anthology. He goes on to talk about the challenges of ordering the various stories, and at one point says "I understated the problems of corresponding with the eight(crossed out letter)y gals. The professionals, as you would suspect, caused no problems whatsoever. But we have some amateur members, believe me, who should be netted and placed in little padded rooms." ***DESCRIPTION: The letter is a standard 8.5" by 11", is dated December 2, 1959; it is on MacDonald's personal stationary with his name printed at the top and his address in Sarasota, Florida at the bottom, and is addressed to deFord at the Ambassador Hotel, San Francisco, where she resided for many years. The book has a pictorial cover (a long-tressed, mostly undressed young lady, illustration by Robert McGinnis), Dell First Edition with the code "B141" beneath, price of $0.35 printed at the upper right, the stories and authors listed on the back. Standard paperback size, 256 pages. ***CONDITION: The letter is in near fine condition; there are the original creases where it was folded in thirds to be posted, and another crease running vertically down the middle; other than that it is in fine condition with no edgewear or markings. The volume is in very good condition for a soft-cover book; there are creases near the spine on both the front and back wrappers, a crease where the upper back corner was bent back, and some very light overall edgewear, mostly to the head and tail of the spine; internally, other than the paper toning with age, it is fine with no prior owner markings. ***POSTAGE: International customers, please note that additional postage may apply, please contact seller for details. ***Swan's Fine Books is pleased to be a member of the ABAA, ILAB and IOBA and we stand behind every book we sell. Please contact us with any questions you may have, we are here to help. Bookseller Inventory # 15010669
