Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good (Minus). Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good (Minus). Karel Capek (illustrator). Later Printing. The third volume of witty travel writing from the great Czech author of "War with the Newts." The First Edition was published in February 1933; this is a Very Good (Minus) copy of the Second Impression, from April of the same year. Yellow cloth binding with red titling on the spine. Clean text; 104 pages; with decorations by the author. Translation from the original Czech by Paul Selver. Unfortunately, the yellow binding is not forgiving to soil, so while a sound volume, it presents in a rather grubby fashion. The dustwrapper is complete, unclipped, but suffers in the same way, and with chipping mainly along the top margins. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
