In 4° (25,7x18 cm); 2 volumi: XV, (1), 1022, (6) pp. e XI, (1), 1010, (2) pp. Belle legature coeve in mezza pelle verde con piatti foderati con carta marmorizzata (qualche difetto alle cerniere e strofinature parse). Titolo e filettatura in oro al dorso. Tagli spruzzati in verde. Quinta edizione emendata del celebre vocabolario-lexicon che Durando compilò su espressa volontà di San Giovanni Bosco. Durando oltre che fine linguista fu anche un apprezzato studioso dell opera leopardiana. Fu tra i massimi esponenti del movimento salesiano e alla morte di Don Bosco fu tra coloro che assunsero il compito di guidare la congregazione. Consigliere nel Capitolo Superiore fin dal 1865, don Durando ebbe l incarico permanente delle pratiche per l apertura di nuove Case salesiane. Il suo dizionario fu così noto che nel 1876 lo stesso Don Bosco condusse Durando da Papa Pio IX per omaggiarlo del celebre vocabolario. Esempalre che si presenta all interno in buone-ottime condizioni di conservazione.
