[Could be Henry Finck, author of Studies in Local Colour, (1891), ‘studies’ which describe a very restricted region of Morocco: Tangier and Tetouan; from 'British Travellers to Morocco and their Accounts, from mid-16th to mid-20th Centuries: A Bibliography' by Khalid Chaouch, University of Ben Mellal.] Added engraved illustrated title-page giving imprint. Some seventy woodcuts in text illustrating architectural styles and details, three of which are full-page; head- and tail-pieces, initials, marginal notes. 'Elementa architecturae collecta ab Henrico Wottonio . scripta & edita Londini anno M.DC.XXIV. Nunc vero In Latinum versa A Joanne de Laet, Antverpiano' (first 30 pages) has divisional half-title and separate pagination and register. ' each have divisional half-titles and begin new pagination and register. With [3] final pages of index. Text in Latin with quotations and examples in Greek. Various bibliographical references attribute the greater part of this volume to the press of Hackius or to Bonaventure and Abraham Elzevir. Minor damp-mark in top margin of 'De Architectura, pages 233-240. Very small worm-hole in foredge margin of 'Lexicon Vitruvianum' from page 59 to end of volume. 'De Pictura' half-title has minor paper adhesion in foredge margin. A little light tanning and occasional spotting. Crisp, clean and tight. Price halved, 12/08/18.
