Item Description: University of Delaware Press, 1923. Hard Cover. Book Condition: Very Good binding. Limited Edition. Largely a collection of the correspondence of Eleuthere Irenee du Pont, the French-born American manufacturer. du Pont's father became acquainted with Thomas Jefferson when he was minister to France, a friendship which undoubtedly influenced the family decision to emigrate to the United States after the French Revolution. The 12 volumes in parchment backed boards. An attractive set, in an edition limited to 250 copies. There is a previous owner name on the endpaper of each volume. One volume has a small abrasion in the titling at the spine. The gilt top edges have some minor spotting, as do a couple of the parchment spines. Very Good binding. Bookseller Inventory # 278273
