Fore-edge has two subtle brown spots.This copy is AUTOGRAPHED BY THOMAS HART BENTON on the portrait frontispiece page. A program from "Book and Author Dinner" sponsored by the AAUW of Kansas City, from the Plaza Inn Hotel, dated April 25, 1969 is laid-in. A featured speaker that day was Benton. Mr. Benton's autograph was most likely obtained at that dinner. 80 lithographs are listed. They are presented in chronological order from ":The Station" in 1929 to "The Little Fisherman" in 1967. They appear on the recto of the page with title and description on the adjoining verso. Chronology and bibliography at the conclusion. Mr. Benton (1889-1975) was a native Missourian. He was a fore-most American painter and muralist, best known for his depictions of people and culture of the American Midwest. 195pp. Size: Oblong Quarto. Signed by Author.
