Item Description: Roycrofters Shop, East Aurora, NY, 1901. Soft cover. Book Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition First Printing. This copy is tight, square and unmarked. It is in brown wraps, bound with decorative string and red and black titles and designs on the front. It is done in the Roycrofter style with unevenly cut, illuminated (black & white) pages. There is a black & white portrait of the artist laid in. There is some light soil at the upper, spine side corner of the rear wrap. It is rubbed at the yapped edge and one of the strings is broken, but in place. It has 32 pages plus ads. Rare toning from the wraps. Bookseller Inventory # 007313

Advertisement in red and black for Little Journeys to the Homes of English Authors on the back cover. Title page in red and black with decorated border. Decorated initial letters. Colophon in red. Final unpaginated page contains an advertisement for Pears soap, in red and black. This series, Little Journeys to the Homes of Great Musicians, was issued in 12 monthly parts with continuous pagination. In Very Good Condition: yapp edges are slightly creased; 3-cm. tear from fore-edge of pp. 19-20, not touching text; pages are clean and bright; plate is clean and crisp.
