Book
Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. The classic first novel from one of America's greatest men of letters. The coming-of-age story of Eugene Gant, whose restlessness and yearning to experience life to the fullest take him from his rural home in North Carolina to Harvard. Through his rich, ornate prose and meticulous attention to detail, Wolfe evokes the peculiarities of small-town life and the pain and upheaval of leaving home. This is a used book. Pages are clean and bright with no markings, notes, or highlighting. Page edges and the white panels of the covers show some toning which does not affect readability. Covers show minor shelf wear; lower front corner is creased. No owner's marks or bookplates, not ex-library. Binding is tight and square. Corners not bumped. An excellent reading copy.
