Book First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: Near Very Good. First Edition. Square 12mo. Wrappers. 32pp. One of 480 copies (of 500). O'Hara's last book to be published in his lifetime, edited by John Bernard Myers and designed by Fred R. Siegle. Near Very Good, the wrappers slightly rubbed to extremities and with light superficial rubbing and a little soiling, the fore edge just faintly toned. Upper corner gently bumped, and with a bump to the lower panel. Just a hint of fading to the purple stripe nearest the spine, the spine with some spotting and stained along the lower fold (probably from the binding process). Usual offsetting of the stripes onto the title page, the contents clean. This copy has the ownership inscription of John James; O'Hara's 'Poem' on p.5 was presumably where James found the name for one of his imprints, Avocado Salad.
