Included on the verso of the ffep is a signed, inscribed and dated Gerstein sketch of Phillip Petite walking between the towers. The inscription reads, "For Robin's 5th Grade Class. Room 303 2003-2004."Fine in dj protected against wear and tear in Brodart Archival Mylar. The book includes a loosely laid in January 13, 2004 New York Times article entitled "Award for a Tale Of a Daring Walk Between Towers." The Times article states the Caldecott Medal has only ".ocastionally been given to books that deal with non-fiction subjects;" that few children's books have addressed the 911 attacks; and poetically concludes: "Now The Towers are gone. But in memory, as if imprinted on the sky, the towers are still there. And part of that memory is the joyful morning, August 7, 1974, when Phillippe Petit walked between them in the air."
